Meet Izzy
Izzy is a sweet 10-year-old Schnauzer mix with a gentle soul and so much love left to give. Weighing just 12–14 pounds, she's the perfect little lap dog looking for a warm lap to call her own.
Sadly, Izzy recently experienced the loss of her beloved owner. After losing the only home she had ever known, she found herself in a crowded animal shelter, confused and frightened. Senior dogs often struggle the most during times of change, and Izzy was no exception. The shelter environment was overwhelming for this gentle girl, and all she wanted was comfort, security, and someone to love.
Since entering rescue, Izzy has received the care she needed. She has been professionally groomed, fully vetted, and has undergone extensive dental treatment. As a result, she no longer has any teeth—but don't let that fool you! Izzy has no trouble enjoying her meals. She simply prefers her kibble softened with a little water.
Despite everything she has been through, Izzy remains affectionate, loving, and eager to be close to her people. Her favorite place in the world is right beside someone she trusts, soaking up attention and companionship.
